Privacy

No personal information that identifies you. The site has no login, no newsletter, no contact form and no comment system, so nothing you do here is tied to your name or contact details.

Pages are static. We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and to see which links readers follow, including links to other sites and email links. It sets its own first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to tell one visit from another, and runs with Google signals and ad personalisation turned off. We run no advertising network and no advertising or cross-site tracking, and we sell nothing to anyone.

Like any website, the host that serves these pages records standard request information — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for security and operational reasons. That is a function of hosting rather than something this site does with the data, and we do not use those logs to build profiles of readers.

We link out heavily, mostly to the Town of Oakville, Halton Region, school boards, Statistics Canada and provincial agencies. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we have no control over them.

Everything published here is aggregate or institutional: census figures for areas of several hundred people, schools, parks, licensed childcare operators and planning applications. We publish no information about individual residents or individual properties, and no real-estate transaction data of any kind. See data and sources.
