What the area feels like
Kerr Village is the closest thing South Oakville has to a genuine urban main street outside downtown. Kerr Street runs south from the rail corridor to Lakeshore Road West with continuous storefronts along much of it, and the surrounding blocks are the densest residential fabric in the area covered by this site.
It is also the area changing fastest. The Town has designated it a growth area, and the planning applications on file here are consistently taller and denser than elsewhere in South Oakville.
The result is a district in two states at once: long-standing independent businesses and small older homes alongside recently completed mid-rise buildings.

Housing character
The most varied housing mix of any area on this site. Small early-twentieth-century houses on tight lots sit next to purpose-built apartment buildings and recent mid-rise infill, sometimes on the same block.
Lot sizes are noticeably smaller than in the areas either side, and a larger share of residents rent.
This site publishes no prices, sales data or listing counts of any kind. Housing here is described by age, form and street pattern only.
Waterfront and parks
Well served by small parks rather than large ones, with the Sixteen Mile Creek valley forming its eastern edge and providing the area's main green corridor.
The lake is reached at the southern end of Kerr Street.
